I love making and teaching ceramics. My work is both humorous and odd. If it makes me laugh I know I’m on the right track.

I enjoy working with and highlighting the way my pieces are made. I allow joints to remain visible, and use the nature of clay as it cracks and rips to accentuate features. I highlight these areas in my finishes as well.

My first exposure to ceramics was in a high school class. I lightly explored ceramics in my BFA but really threw myself into it when I got my first teaching job as a high school art teacher. I loved my students and I fell deeply in love with ceramics as well. I completed my MEd in Art Education with a ceramics focus.

While I loved public school life has led me to teach at a community center and I could not ask for a better environment for my teaching and ceramic practice to grow.

I thought I would make a website to showcase my work and hopefully sell some of the ceramics that are currently piling up under my bed.
